I obtained a BS in kinesiology from MSU, was athletic trainer at St John's high School. Continued my education at SVSU and became a k-12 PE & health teacher, taught at All Saints Middle & High School, coached 6-12th grade track & field. Continued my education at Davenport university in nursing, worked at St Mary's Cardiac Step Down, Covenant's transitional care and the Carriage House health & rehab as their educator. Continued my education at Excellsior College in NY for my RN/ masters, I volunteer as the coordinator for tall ships in Bay City, and was selected to speak at the Boys & Girls club Smart Girls project on health & nutrition. I am still nursing and teaching as an adjunct at Delta in the lifelong wellness division.
